While the system is designed to deliver critical and potentially life-saving alerts via broadcast and to your mobile device, New Brunswick E-M-O director Greg MacCallum states he understands some people are still dealing with flooding, but it’s crucial the twice-annual test takes place.
MacCallum adds that alerts are only issued when there’s an imminent threat to life — and immediate action needs to be taken, saying tests are the only way to ensure the system works as expected.
