Since the legalization of cannabis, there have been concerns from consumers.
One in particular was the amount of packaging that comes along with the product.
Cannabis NB general manager Lara Wood says they are hearing the complaints but say it’s not entirely up to them.
They must follow specific guidelines set by Health Canada.
She says producers were rushed to come up with packaging that fit the standards.
Wood says they are now working on coming up with better, minimal-waste packaging.
In the meantime, they are accepting containers at stores to be recycled.
