It’s nearly that time of the year again for the Marigolds Project and this year some construction is being done on Main Street in Saint John.
The man behind the project, Barry Ogden, says he isn’t anticipating any issues.
“We’ll be fine on Main street, the City has done an excellent job setting it all up for us again, Main Street is our first site where we have our announcement but we have 70 other sites,” stated Ogden.
He says the school kids began planting in March and are eager to get them into the ground from St. Stephen to Sussex, all in all, he says 80,000 people have been involved in the last 22 years.
The Marigolds project has become very popular with visitors.
“The tour guides tell me it has become one of the number one tourist attractions because people love to hear the story of children growing flowers and placing them around the community,” stated Ogden.
Look for the Marigolds Project to begin in the next couple of weeks.
