If you take a look at Harbour Bridge tonight around 6:30 you will see the majestic tall ship Marco Polo.
Actually you will see the replica being moved to a new location and right back into storage.
Barry Ogden is behind the project and says he finds it frustrating that after all of these years they still do not have a home for what he calls the best tourist attraction the city would have.
“We were told there was no money to build it so we built it as a community, we were told a site would be held but we can’t put a business plan totally together unless we have the site and that is where we have not been getting any help or any encouragement”, stated Ogden.
The ship will be taken to its new storage site on Ashburn Lake Road and Ogden says the work will continue in hopes of finding a permanent home for the Marco Polo.
Ogden has been working on this project for 32 years.
