Last night’s high winds did some damage in Saint John.
At around 7:30 PM, the Saint John Fire Department were called to the 300 block of Lowell street in the lower west side.
As a result of the high winds, a limb had fallen from a tree onto a parked vehicle on the street.
“This limb also caught the power lines on the way down and pulled the electrical supply from a single family residence,” said Acting platoon Chief Roy Byers in a media report.
There were no injuries reported, but the house and vehicle sustained significant damage.
“The passenger vehicle was completely lost,” said Byers.
Fire crews were on scene with assistance of Saint John Energy for just over two hours.
