New Brunswick is about to get its first taste of hot and humid weather this summer.
Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for much of the province, including the Kennebecasis Valley, Sussex, St. Stephen, Fredericton and Grand Lake.
Highs will reach 30°C on Thursday but it will feel closer to 35 with the humidity. Friday’s highs will range between 30°C and 34°C with humidex values between 36 and 39.
There will not be much relief at night, either, with lows around 18°C.
It will be a bit cooler in Saint John, where onshore breezes will keep temperatures in the low 20s.
Temperatures and humidity levels will fall on Saturday as a cold front moves across the province.
