New York City’s Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man spins his web beyond the borough of Queens in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Tom Watts (Cop Car) returns to direct the Spider-Man sequel, which also serves as a coda to Avengers: Endgame and Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Peter Parker (Tom Holland, The Lost City of Z) is still processing and grappling with Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr., Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) death and legacy eight months after he and half of the universe were resurrected by the Infinity Gauntlet. A two-week summer field trip to Europe would appear to be the perfect palate cleanser, and opportunity to confess his feelings to his crush MJ (Zendaya, The Greatest Showman), but Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson, Unbreakable) has other plans. Fury recruits Spider-Man alongside new superhero Quentin Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal, Nightcrawler) to battle new elemental, interdimensional foes – but all is not as it appears…
Spider-Man: Far From Home gives audiences plenty of Spider-Man hijinks while setting the stage for some interesting plot developments – and the added bonus of hitting up the hot spots of Europe, from London to Berlin, without ever having to get on a plane.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is currently playing in theatres.
