Emergency responders including the Dieppe Fire Department and Codiac RCMP were called to the Greater Moncton International Airport yesterday evening.
The airport says RCMP investigated a suspicious item that security found in someone’s luggage.
Crews were on scene from approximately 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The investigation confirmed that the item posed no threat and the airport resumed regular operations.
However, police say the item was not allowed on the plane.
No confirmation as to what the item was or whether it was returned to the traveler.
