Challenging weather conditions have made it difficult for those monitoring North Atlantic right whales in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
Teams were able to resume efforts Tuesday to try and rescue three entangled whales who were recently observed.
Two of the three whales have been partially freed, but officials will continue to monitor them.
Daily flights are done over the Atlantic region looking for whales at risk.
The Government of Canada is maintaining enhanced measures until at least July 22 while continuing to evaluate actions to protect the North Atlantic #RightWhales https://t.co/aJNgXhLpF7
