26-year-old Henry Day has five other matters pending in provincial court.
Police responded to reports of a car prowler in the area of Beaverbrook Avenue just after midnight.
Officers spotted a man with a backpack trying to get into a vehicle and chased him.
After clearing two fences, he crashed into a third and ran straight into a waiting officer where he is arrested.
He is found with a wallet, a dress and other items.
Crown Prosecutor Jim McAvity told provincial court judge Andrew Palmer that Day should not be allowed out at night.
Judge Palmer imposed an overnight curfew of 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Day is due back in court on September 23rd.
