RCMP arrested a 39-year old man after seizing a number of drugs and weapons in Speerville, just south of Woodstock.
Walter Patrick Michaud was arrested after Mounties searched his home in Speerville around 10:30 AM Thursday, and found firearms, ammunition, bear mace, brass knuckles and a quantity of drugs.
He appeared in Woodstock Provincial court Friday and was charged with unauthorized possession of firearms, unsafe storage of a firearm, and possession of illegal weapons.
He was released, and will appear again in court on August 27th to enter his plea.
Two women aged 37 and 21 were also arrested on Friday at the same location, and face future court dates.
An investigation is still ongoing.
