Author and Nobel Laureate Toni Morrison has passed away at the age of 88.
Morrison, author of the novels ‘Beloved’ and ‘The Bluest Eye,’ was described as a “literary pioneer” for her work depicting the African-American experience.
She has one several awards for her work, including a Pulitzer and an American Book award. She was the first African-American woman to win the Nobel Prize.
