The weather proved challenging for the first show at the Magnetic Hill concert site in four years.
Severe thunderstorms rumbled through Greater Moncton on Saturday afternoon bringing heavy downpours at times, gusty winds and even hail was reported in some areas.
Environment Canada had issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the region.
Due to the poor weather and the potential for lightning, the promoter delayed the opening of the concert gates from 2 until 3:30 p.m.
Whitecap Entertainment also delayed the set times of the opening acts until 4 p.m.
By the time headliner Luke Bryan took the stage later in the evening the stormy weather had passed.
