The RCMP are warning folks again about a Gifting Circle or Gifting Cloud scam that is making the rounds.
It is when someone invites you to invest money for a return on your investment at a future date.
However you do not get your money until you recruit other people, that is the definition of a pyramid scheme according to the Mounties.
It is considered fraud and it is illegal.
They are asking if anyone who has been approached or even taken by one of these schemes to contact police or Crimestoppers.
