The use of cannabis across the country by Canadians aged 15 and older was virtually the same this spring as it was prior to legalization.
The latest cannabis survey from Statistics Canada does show seniors over 65 reported using cannabis more frequently.
Males were more likely to use cannabis almost daily and almost twice as likely as females to have consumed marijuana in the first half of 2019.
Nearly half of all cannabis consumers said they purchased most cannabis from a legal source while 42 percent said they bought from illegal sources such as a drug dealer.
Stats Canada conducts the cannabis survey every three months.
