A very cool after school art program initiative has begun that will see businesses displaying framed artwork done by students for one year.
It’s called the One For One program and is the brainchild of Jennifer Krueger of Estey Art Initiative in Fredericton.
“We try to stretch it as far as we can and get the students in the class who will benefit the most and really want to be there, pre-requisite is absolutely not about skill it’s about them wanting to be there, and we are pretty sure we can find a way to get them in,” stated Krueger.
The students will get to do their artwork and then see it treated as a professional artwork.
“Businesses are getting a piece of art that the students have done in our program we are having it professionally framed, a gallery label put on it, very well done very high end the students love it and businesses are renting it for one year, for the price of a child receiving a ten-week art course, said Krueger.
