A crash between a Saint John transit bus and a pedestrian has left a 54-year-old woman in serious condition.
The collision occurred around 8:45 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Bayside Drive and Mount Pleasant Avenue East.
Police say the bus had gone by an empty stop and proceeded to turn through the intersection.
The woman approached the bus, attempting to get it to stop for her, and was struck by the bus.
Police say she was taken to the Saint John Regional Hospital.
The collision is under investigation by the major crime unit. The traffic reconstruction unit is also involved.
