Health Canada is recalling DIY Shake Slime kits across the country due to a chemical hazard.
The toy, which lets kids make their own slime, does not meet the Canadian toy safety guidelines for boric acid content.
Boric acid can be toxic to children if licked or swallowed, and can have long term effects on their development andĀ future reproductive health.
There have been no reports of incidents or injuries so far.
Consumers should immediately take the slime kits away from children and dispose of them.
Around 9,500 of the kits were sold across the country, between December 2018 and August 2019.
