A number of areas in Saint John sustained damage after Dorian knocked down trees and power lines Saturday.
Crews will continue the clean up efforts over the coming days.
The city is asking that residents do not try to clean up fallen trees or power poles themselves, as it poses a serious risk of injury. Branches could fall, and wires may still be live.
Be cautious when walking or driving over the coming days; do not walk or drive under downed trees or lines, and do not drive past any barricades.
The City has identified around 55 sites that present a hazard to the public due to fallen trees, power lines or poles; in some cases, a single street, park or square has numerous obstructions.
King Square has sustained a significant amount of damage from fallen trees.

Those large trees will be removed and carefully assessed, and the city plans on exploring options to salvage and preserve the historic trees.
For now, it is advising the public stay out of all squares and parks where trees have fallen until further notice.
There is no expected timeline for the clean up as of right now.
