New Brunswick now has its first NDP candidate in the federal election campaign.
The party’s website lists Luke MacLaren as the candidate for Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe.
The New Democrats were the only major party not to have any candidates in New Brunswick when the election campaign officially launched on Wednesday.
None of the other nine ridings currently have NDP candidates, but the nomination deadline is not until Sept. 30.
Canadians will head to the polls on Oct. 21.
