Every day, there is a crossing or trespassing incident on or near railway property.
That’s why CN is partnering with Operation Lifesaver to raise awareness about railway safety on both sides of the border.
Rail Safety Week will be held all over North America next week in an effort to “Stop track tragedies.”
A total of 223 incidents were recorded in Canada in 2017, including 72 fatalities.
A number of new signs are to be put up in those areas in an effort to reduce that number to zero.
Yellow signs will be painted on the ground meant to get the attention of texters and earbud-wearers.
