An 18-year-old man is facing weapons charges after a standoff in East Saint John.
Saint John Police and its negotiating team called to a High Meadow Drive home about 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Officers found the young man barricaded in a home with other people.
The negotiators convinced him to let the other people in the home leave and around 7:30 p.m., he surrendered to police.
Patrol and Major Crime units are still investigating.
No one was hurt and those living in the neighbourhood were asked to stay inside until the man taken into custody.
He may face other charges.
