On day eleven of the election campaign, Jagmeet Singh is focusing on part-time and precarious workers.
The NDP Leader says his government would give more health coverage to people who currently have to pay out of pocket for some services.
“We believe that if you make less than $70,000 in this country, and you have no insurance, we are going to make sure you’re covered for dental care. Everyone in our country that doesn’t have that coverage and makes under $70,000–that’s 4.3 million people–under our plan will immediately get dental service coverage.”
Singh also pledged to put a cap on cell phone bills.
Elsewhere, Green Party Leader Elizabeth May pent the day campaigning in Winnipeg, while Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau and Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer both took a break from the campaign trail Saturday.
