The city is currently accepting applications from landowners for the new Deer Management Program.
Those who wish to have their properties assessed by the Department of Energy and Resource Development and are within the Millidgeville test area, can apply on the city’s website or by calling 658-2829.
Eligible landowners will then receive bow hunting permits, which they can either give to licensed hunters, or use themselves.
There will also be an information session for hunters in the coming weeks.
The City of Saint John has a list of licensed bow hunters who are interested in participating in the program available to landowners.
The hunt will take place during regular bow-hunting season, from October 7th until November 23rd.
