At last, a film that gives you an exercise endorphin rush without having to leave your seat!
In playwright Paul Downs Colaizzo’s directorial debut, the steadily rising comedic actress Jillian Bell (22 Jump Street, Rough Night) plays the self-destructive, hard-partying Brittany Forgler drifting through life in New York City.
After being advised to improve her health by a new physician, Brittany takes up running and sets for herself a goal of running in the New York City Marathon.
As she trains for the marathon, she slowly but surely starts to take stock of her life, making friend with fellow runners (Michaela Watkins, Micah Stock), exploring new job and romantic prospectives and ending toxic friendships.
The film captures the hard work and time a person must invest in themselves to change in a positive manner, in any facet of one’s life – but crossing the finish line is well worth it.
Brittany Runs a Marathon is currently playing in theatres.
