On Day 16 of the federal election campaign, Justin Trudeau has pledged to protect 25 per cent of land and oceans in the country by 2025.
The Liberal leader says when he took office only one per cent was protected and that has risen to 14 per cent since then.
He calls his plan “the path forward for Canada.”
NDP leader Jagmeet Singh promised rental subsidies for families who are struggling with housing saying it will involve helping up to 500,000 families with up to $5,000 of support each year.
Singh indicates the Parliamentary Budget Office has said, “this will make the difference for families who are unable to pay their bills.”
Conservative leader Andrew Scheer promises if elected he will begin an inquiry into the SNC-Lavalin affair to help uncover what he believes Liberal leader Justin Trudeau does not want you to hear.
Scheer says Trudeau has shut down three parliamentary investigations, has refused to co-operate with the ethics commissioners investigation and is “currently stonewalling the RCMP.”
