The case of a Fredericton man accused of killing four people returns to court this week for a special hearing.
Jury selection begins Monday for the group of people who will determine if 48-year-old Matthew Vincent Raymond is fit to stand trial.
Raymond is charged with four counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Constables Sara Burns and Robb Costello, as well as civilians Bobbie Lee Wright and Donnie Robichaud.
Police have said Robichaud and Wright were shot outside an apartment building last August, and the two officers were hit by bullets when they responded to the call.
Raymond has previously been found fit to stand trial, but according to the criminal code, fitness is an ongoing evaluation.
