Princess Elizabeth School has been chosen for the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation’s Adopt a School program.
The national fundraiser selects elementary school with high needs and helps them add books to their school library.
People can support PES by donating at Coles in Brunswick Square or online.
Every school has a unique registry of 50 books and when a book is purchased from it, Indigo will double the impact of each customer’s donation by providing another copy of that book for the school.
Abby Nice is the Community School Coordinator at PES.
She says the school doesn’t have a library but because it is a kindergarten to Grade 8 school they have a wide range of interest so it’s still full of avid readers.
“We have french immersion and all those types of classes as well. We have almost 600 students.” Nice said.
Nice will join some Princess Elizabeth students at the Coles store in Brunswick Square on Saturday, October, 5th 2019 for the final day of the fundraiser.
