Elections Canada has released a list of confirmed candidates for the federal election.
Candidates had until September 30th to ensure their names were on the ballot.
Saint John-Rothesay has seven official candidates, including all the major parties and two independents:
- Neville Barnett, Independent
- Armand Cormier, New Democratic Party,
- Stuart Jamieson, Independent,
- Wayne Long, Liberal Party (incumbent)
- Ann McAllister, Green Party
- Adam J.C. Salesse, People’s Party
- Rodney Weston, Conservative Party
In Fundy Royal, there are also seven candidates, with one running as an independent, and one from the National Citizens Alliance.
- David Raymond Amos, Independent
- John Evans, National Citizens Alliance
- Alaina Lockhart, Liberal Party (incumbent)
- Rob Moore, Conservative Party
- Rudy Nuemayer, People’s Party
- Tim Thompson, Green Party
- James Tolan, New Democratic Party
And in the riding of New Brunswick Southwest, six candidates have been confirmed, including one with the Veterans Coalition Party.
- Susan Jonah, Green Party
- Karen Ludwig, Liberal Party (incumbent)
- Douglas Mullin, New Demotcratic party
- Meryl Sarty, People’s Party
- Abe Scott, Veterans Coalition Party
- John Williamson, Conservative
Voting day is October 21st, but advanced polls are open October 11, 12, 13, and 14th. More information about where and how to vote can be found online.
