It could have been a lot more serious with potentially fatal consequences according to Saint John Police after a vehicle-pedestrian accident on City Road on Thursday evening.
Police say after looking at security video from a business they found around 6:30 a Jeep Wrangler was speeding along City Road, the driver lost control and the Jeep jumped the curb and sidewalk and struck a woman who was one of four people who happened to be jogging by at that very instant.
The woman had her arm grazed and was treated and released at the scene.
As a result of this, a 51-year-old man is facing charges in Saint John Court of impaired driving causing bodily harm, and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
