Conservation officers have issued one ticket, one warning and one charge after recent enforcement in the Hampton Marsh area.
The Department of Public Safety says the patrol was in response to reports of shots fired at night before the start of waterfowl season on Oct. 1.
They say it is illegal to discharge a firearm at night or to have a firearm out of the case outside of designated hunting times.
A ticket was issued for possessing an unplugged shotgun and a warning was issued for failing to produce a licence. One guide was charged with having a firearm unwrapped at night.
