A Cap-Pelé man is “Set for Life” after claiming the lump sum prize of $675,000 in Atlantic Lottery’s scratch and win game.
Atlantic Lottery says Robert Duguay bought his ticket in Memramcook and discovered that he won after he got into his car.
Duguay says the 40-minute drive home to Cap-Pelé felt so long and he couldn’t get there fast enough to share the news with family.
He has been playing various lottery games for years and says he has no plans to retire.
Duguay wants to pay off his house and truck with the prize money, but more importantly, wants to help out family members.
The winning “Set for Life” ticket was purchased at Magasin General College Bridge in Memramcook and the retailer will receive a one per cent seller’s prize.
