Tiny flags at Ridgewood Veteran’s hospital will be placed on the lawn to show support for vets and to raise funds for a new vehicle
The goal is to raise $125,000 to buy a new van to take residents out in the community.
Ridgewood is working with the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation and the Give on the Field of Flags fundraiser.

Nicole Robertson is the recreation therapy supervisor at Ridgewood.
“They would pursue a flag that we will keep here at Ridgewood veteran’s wing and put out on the evening of November 10th. That donation, the minimum of twenty-five dollars, go towards the purchasing of a new bus for our veterans.” Robertson said.
Robertson says the bus provides access to the community for their veterans and they have been without for a while as its undergoing repairs.
Should the fundraising goal be met, volunteers will be placing 5000 flags on the lawn at Ridgewood Veteran’s hospital.
“Some of the staff will be coming in and last year we had a couple of friends, family and supports. We have called on some of the Brownie groups in our community to maybe help us.” Roberston said.
