Police say two people have been arrested after an overnight standoff in a small village near Fredericton.
RCMP Cpl. Jullie Rogers-Marsh said police were called to an incident involving a firearm on Route 101 in Tracy shortly after midnight Wednesday night.
Rogers-Marsh said when officers arrived at a home, the two people inside refused to cooperate.
She said Route 101 was closed and a nearby residence was evacuated as a precaution.
Rogers-Marsh said a man and a woman were arrested around 11:30 a.m. Thursday. There is no word yet if they will face any charges.
The police operation on Heritage Drive (Route 101) in Tracy, N.B. is over. The road has reopened.
