Dominic Cardy will continue to carry out consultations across the province in hopes to improve the education system.
The education minister made the announcement during a three-day provincial summit in Fredericton.
“I am very pleased with the excellent dialogue carried out through the education summit, but I am also eager to continue to work with our experts – teachers, principals, early childhood educators – and with students themselves,” he said.
A release says the summit was intended to inspire and empower learners and educators to reimagine education in New Brunswick’s.
On Oct. 16 and 17, renowned speakers and researchers shared their expertise on topics such as using experiential, flexible or community-based learning to better support learners.
Cardy says they are committed to building a world-class education system and to accomplish this, need to hear from the educators working in classrooms every day.
“Over the past year, I have had many formal and informal discussions about the future of education with educators across the province. I look forward to hearing more of your ideas on how we help our students succeed,” says Cardy.
A Summit Summary Report will be made available on the summit website in the coming months.
