Saint John police had to deal with an alleged stabbing incident Thursday evening involving two women.
The call came from a residence on Kennedy Street around 7:40 p.m. When police arrived, they found a woman had been stabbed.
A 21-year-old woman was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon. The victim was taken to the hospital and treated.
The woman arrested was also taken to hospital to be checked out before being returned to custody. She is scheduled to make a court appearance Friday.
