Saint John Police are warning of a car prowler, after a number of recent reports of thefts from vehicles.
Around 9 p.m. Monday night, police responded to a call on Coburg Street, where owners reported that someone had broken into their vehicle and stolen two gym bags and some pieces of I.D.
Officers began to patrol the area, and around 10 p.m., saw a man on Waterloo Street holding what appeared to be one of the gym bags.
A 37 year old man was arrested for possession of stolen property, and faces a future court date.
Last Saturday, police arrested a different man for stealing a wallet from a car on Broad Street.
