The Canadian Red Cross will be presenting philanthropist Sandra Irving with its 2019 Humanitarian Award for New Brunswick this evening at the Power of Humanity fundraising dinner at the Delta Marriott.
Irving is being recognized for her support to educational, medical, environmental and veterinary institutions, as well as support for research, and youth entrepreneurship.
Also this evening, university student Mira Stephenson of Rothesay will receive the 2019 Young Humanitarian Award.
It is in recognition of her volunteerism and community service which has brought about impacting change in the lives of youth in the greater Saint John area.
