Discover Saint John will be hosting a big convention in 2022 for convention planners.
It is the Professional Convention Management Association’s Canadian Innovation Conference.
Victoria Clarke of Discover Saint John, who attended this year’s event in Quebec City, says they are thrilled to have been chosen as hosts.
“At the Eastern Canadian Chapter of the PCMA’s AGM, they announced that Saint John has been chosen as the 2022 location for this excellent conference,” stated Clarke.
Those who attend the convention will travel around in what is known as Fams or Familiarization Tours checking out venues.
“If we get you to our city, you can’t stop thinking about it,” said Clarke.
Clarke says there will be more than 350 meeting planners visiting the city, bringing an estimated $355,000 in economic impact.
The event will take place from Nov. 19 to 22, 2022.
