The RCMP have concluded their investigation into the deaths of an Oak Bay couple.
Around 10 a.m. Saturday morning, officers were called to a residence off Route 170, where they found the bodies of a 61-year-old woman and a 62-year-old man.
Autopsies have determined that the woman’s death was the result of a homicide, and that the man was responsible.
Mounties say he died from a self-inflicted wound. A firearm was recovered at the scene.
Due to the circumstances of the deaths, no charges will be laid.
