Engineers, architects and construction professionals and government officials are in Saint John for a two-day industry forum.
The event features presentations, learning sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities.
Christy Cunningham, who is part of the organizing committee, said more than 200 people are taking part.
“All our different industries are always working together behind the scenes, but we thought it was important to bring everyone together as we are always collaborating all the time,” said Cunningham.
Several topics will be discussed during the forum, including immigration, innovation and climate change.
Forum delegates will also network with more than 30 industry partners who will showcase their latest products and technologies
Cunningham said there was a smaller event like this about five years ago, but this is the first forum of this size. Her hope is to make it a biannual event going forward.
“It all depends on the success of the event but it’s looking very promising at this point,” she said. “We’re really excited to hear feedback from the registrants after the event.”
The forum takes place Tuesday and Wednesday at the Saint John Trade and Convention Centre.
