Truck Theft And Chase Lead To Arrest

A 19-year old man arrested Saturday after a vehicle theft and chase.

Saint John police officers were called to a Douglas Avenue home on Friday night about a missing truck.

A short pursuit followed but was called off due to public safety concerns and the truck was later found in a ditch.

Police were later called to a west side business for a disturbance where they noticed similarities between the suspect and the one reported in connection with the stolen truck.

The man is looking at charges of assault, causing a disturbance and possession of a stolen vehicle.
