Applications are now open for the 2020 Community Grants Program in Saint John.
The program is available to local non-profits that support the community through social, cultural and recreational activities.
Funding is available for three categories: organizational support; community projects and special events.
The deadline for applications is January 13th.
In 2021, the Community Grants program will undergo some restructuring in an effort to balance the budget.
The city is looking at combining all three categories, and increasing funds to the grant by 17 per cent.
According to numbers from the city, that could look like a loss of around $100,000.
