The leader of the federal New Democrats will make two stops in New Brunswick on Saturday.
Jagmeet Singh will meet with staff at the province’s only private abortion clinic in Fredericton at 10 a.m.
Clinic 554 is slated to close as the province refuses to pay for abortions performed outside a hospital.
The clinic also provides care for trans people, HIV-positive people, and those dealing with substance abuse.
Singh has previously said the prime minister’s refusal to enforce the Canada Health Act has led directly to the impending closure.
The NDP leader will also head to Bathurst for a meet and greet in the afternoon.
