Wild winds did a number on the roof of a three-storey apartment building at 57 Ocean Court earlier Tuesday morning.
The Canadian Red Cross was called in as the building had to be evacuated due to a portion of the roof being blown away.
The Red Cross volunteers secured emergency lodging and meals for six adults and children. Other tenants made their own arrangements, such as staying with relatives or friends for now.
There were no injuries from the storm damage, which occurred around 1 a.m.
