A new parade will be held in Saint John on Saturday but, you won’t need to bundle up for it.
St. Joe’s is hosting its first indoor parade to bring the festive season to their patients.
It will start on level 2 then move from the 8th floor to the 5th visiting about 100 patients.
Nursing unit clerk Tanya Doyle says because a lot of their patients are shut-ins they can’t participate in the holiday season.
“We would like to have the opportunity for them to have Christmas with the families. By celebrating our parade it’s bringing our patients and our families together,” Doyle said.
The floats are assembled by the nursing units and staff from transitional care, physio and maintenance.
The parade begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
