Canada Post employees are extra busy this time of year, making sure everyone’s holiday mail is delivered on time.
Scott Ferguson is a supervisor at the Dieppe mail processing plant.
“We are currently getting about 75,000 parcels a day that we are processing here in our facility,” he said.
He says Dieppe is sort of the mail hub of Atlantic Canada, processing all parcels for New Brunswick, P.E.I. and Newfoundland, and some for Nova Scotia.
Ferguson says Canada Post delivered a record number of 2.2 million parcels last week.
Canada post hired on just under 4 thousand extra employees, 100 at the Dieppe plant alone, to help with the holiday rush.
