A fire on the west side has claimed the life of one person.
Fire crews were called to a home on Loyalist Lane just before 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
Officials say they found “smoke rolling out of the home” when they arrived on scene.
One other person in the home managed to escape with minor injuries.
No word yet on what caused the fire. An investigation is ongoing.
