Most of the tenants from two wind-damaged Saint John apartment buildings have been allowed to return home.
High winds on Dec. 10 caused significant roof damage to a 78-unit building on Heather Way and a 12-unit building on Ocean Court, forcing more than 100 people from their homes.
The Canadian Red Cross said tenants on the lower five floors of the Heather Way were allowed to go back home this weekend.
Residents on the top floor should find out Monday when they can go back to their homes.
All but eight tenants from four apartments at the Ocean Court building have also been allowed back home. They should find out Monday whether they will be allowed back home by Christmas Eve.
Volunteers with the Canadian Red Cross provided assistance to more than 105 tenants from the two buildings.
