A security incident at the Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport caused delays for departing passengers.
Airport spokesperson Julie Pondant says they called 911 at around 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
RCMP say they were contacted for what was believed to be a weapon, but when officers arrived, they confirmed it was a fake.
Pondant says the incident caused slight delays with the check-in and security screening operations for passengers for over an hour, then operations returned to normal.
